Santa Super Sleigh Salford

Bringing Christmas joy to Salford since 2000

🎅 Our Mission

Every December, Santa Super Sleigh Salford takes to the streets to spread Christmas cheer and raise vital funds for the 100th Salford Scout Group. We're visiting the Irlams o' th' Height and Pendlebury neighbourhoods of Salford. Our festive sleigh, complete with music, lights, and of course Santa himself, creates magical memories for families while supporting local youth activities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What time will Santa visit my street?
A: Use our street search on the home page to find your approximate time. Please note times can vary due to crowds and traffic.

Q: What if I miss Santa?
A: You can still support us by making an online donation. Check our Facebook page for updates on where Santa is currently visiting, or catch him another night on another street.

Q: How do I donate?
A: You can donate in person when Santa visits, or make a secure online donation anytime through our Square donation page.

Q: Why don't you cover my street?
A: We're staffed entirely by volunteers and cover over 100 streets in the 10 nights. However, Salford's a big city and our Scout group is one of 4 within a few square miles, so we focus our streets to those in the immediate vicinity of our meeting place, as well as streets where our Scouts and their families live.

Q: Can I volunteer to help with the sleigh?
A: We love having enthusiastic volunteers! Please contact the 100th Salford Scout Group through our Facebook page if you'd like to get involved.

Q: Can I hire your sleigh for an event?
A: We receive several requests each year for the use of our sleigh, however due to logistics of charging, storing, towing and insuring the sleigh, it's unfortunately not feasible for us to hire it out to other organisations.

Q: Can we sit on the Sleigh?
A: Unfortunately, Santa has lots of streets to visits and limited time to do so, meaning we can't always pause for photos. The sleigh can be a tripping hazard to little feet, but Santa will do his best to pause for photos beside the sleigh. Just check with our Head of Elf and Safety before approaching the sleigh.

Q: Can my child give Santa their letter/a card/a gift?
A: Absolutely! Santa will take them back to the 'North Pole' to read. Just hand them to one of the Elves to keep safe (magic aside, we won't be able to take any action from any letters, however our Elves do have some little postcards that thank your child for coming to see Santa!)
